Estimates and Scheduling
What to expect from your first call to the day your project is finished.
Are your estimates really free?
Yes. Every estimate is free and no-pressure. We will measure, explain your options and give you a clear price, and the decision is yours to make on your own time.
How soon can you come out?
Free estimates are often available within one day, sometimes as soon as the next day. Call (703) 242-1750 or use our free estimate form to get on the schedule.
Who will come to my estimate?
Mark Horner, our owner and president, meets every homeowner personally. You deal directly with the owner from your first estimate to the final walkthrough, with no salespeople in between.
How long does a project take?
Most projects are completed within two to four weeks of signing. Mark's son Hadley handles scheduling and production, so you always know who to call with a question.
Can I see the products before I decide?
Yes. Our showroom in Leesburg has windows, doors and color samples you can see in person. We are open Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, Saturday by appointment, and closed Sunday.

What we install, and how we stand behind it.
What brand of windows and doors do you install?
We are a Certified ProVia Dealer. Our windows include the ProVia Endure, Aeris, Aspect and EcoLite series, and we install ProVia fiberglass and steel entry doors, patio and sliding glass doors, French doors and storm doors. Learn more on our Certified ProVia Dealer page.
Are your windows energy efficient?
Yes. Our replacement windows use energy-efficient Low-E glass, and ENERGY STAR rated products are available. Our entry doors are built with insulated cores.
What warranty comes with my windows and doors?
Every window and door we install is backed by our lifetime extended service warranty, on top of the manufacturer's warranty. Our warranties page has the details.
What is the Lifetime Glass Repair Warranty?
It is an added warranty for homeowners in golf course communities, including River Creek, Belmont, Riverbend and Trump National. Ask Mark about it at your estimate if your home is in one of these communities.
Do you offer any savings on ProVia products?
Yes. As a Certified ProVia Dealer, we can offer up to 30% off ProVia products.
Do you do more than windows and doors?
Yes. We install vinyl, insulated and stone veneer siding, along with architectural shingle and metal roofs, so one team can handle the whole exterior of your home.

A little about the family and the crews behind the work.
Who owns Home Exteriors Energy Consultants?
We are a family-owned, father-and-son business. Mark Horner founded the company in 2007 and is its owner and president. His son Hadley runs operations, customer service, scheduling and production, and visits homeowners after the job. Read our story on the about page.
Who installs my windows and doors?
Our installers are certified directly by ProVia, and we have worked with the same crews for more than a decade. There are no call centers and no handoffs.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are fully licensed and insured, with Virginia contractor license #2705128010. We have been BBB accredited with an A+ rating since 2008.
What areas do you serve?
Our showroom is in Leesburg, and we serve homeowners across Loudoun County, Fairfax County and select Maryland communities. See the full list on our service areas page.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Our work is mainly residential, and we do take on some commercial projects. Give us a call to talk through yours.
What recognition has the company received?
We received the Angie's List Super Service Award every year from 2010 to 2025, the Pulse of the City Customer Care Award from 2014 to 2025, and the Talk of the Town Excellence in Customer Satisfaction award from 2010 to 2025.
